December 17, 2021The truth about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI): Breaking down myths and misinformation
January 11, 2022When Lesli Rice got involved in Rice Education Consulting, it was to support her spouse – but in her work she found passion and purpose.
Lesli, 42, is married to Rico Rice and they are partners in life, business and parenting.
She has an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from Northern Kentucky University, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Science from Xavier University. She is the lead strategist at REdCon and a tenured Marketing Professor at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.
In the early years of the company, she focused on branding and product development. However, her role has expanded as the company has grown.
“My daily work consists of leading end-to-end Strategic Planning projects for external clients; while internally, I focus on growth planning tasks such as system and process optimization and identifying market opportunities,” Lesli said.
REdCon has always focused on equity and removing barriers for marginalized populations, so watching the company evolve from helping high school students navigate the college process to transforming organizational culture for our clients is amazing to watch.
“Witnessing the transformation that REdCon has fostered, in both individuals and organizations, is my WHY,” Lesli said. “People and organizations truly are better after working with our team!”
When she isn’t working, Lesli loves to travel. She also loves to read.
Her motto is simple: Lesli tries to be a better version of herself each day.
And her favorite quote really sums that up.
“You won’t always get what you pay for, but you will pay for everything you get.”
