Tamala Hodge is a writer, a mother and in her role at Rice Education Consulting, the person who makes sure everyone gets the information they need – seamlessly.
Tamala, 40, lives in California with her husband and three sons. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and a creative writing certificate from the University of Cincinnati and she also has an Associate of Science – and she’s a licensed massage therapist.
“REdCon is such an amazing place to work,” she said. “We all strive to have a good work-life balance and are encouraged to do so by our President. REdCon has four core values that contribute to why this company is an attractive place to work. Those four core values are: Collaboration, Deliver with Excellence, Innovation and Create meaningful connections.”
She’s worked as a project manager for REdCon for 1.5 years, creating and managing master timelines for projects. Tamala is the single point of contact, working to ensure smooth transition of information from the REdCon Team to an organization.
“I like the work that we do at REdCon,” she said. “Not only are we a DEI consultant firm, but we also provide learning resources to organizations, provide coaching to organizations, and training and development.”
Her three boys, ages 15, 12 and 8, keep her busy but when she isn’t working or doing the mom thing, Tamala likes to read, write and spend time with family – including Jett, the family Maltipoo, who just turned one.
Tamala is also a creative writer and loves using her imagination to make up stories. She’s done that since she was a child.
“I’ve written a lot of poems, stories and novels,” she said. “I’m not a published author yet, but someday I will be!”
